All Pro Dad Evaluation Summary FY13
- Average Attendance over the year was 78.
- The average number of breakfasts attended this year was 5 out of 7.
- How the Breakfast Has Made an Impact on Parenting:
discussing topics we may otherwise not; allows more time to spend with child; a way to get involved with the school; provides encouragement for the children; a time to have breakfast together other than weekends only; helps keep things in perspective; allows for bonding with step children (have had several positive comments about this lately!)
- Additional Positive Points About the Program:
group discussion and acknowledgement of why dads are proud of their children; gets the parents active in the school; seeing happy children!; allows for more student communication; sharing with other parents/ fellowship with other parents who care about their children; shows the children that their parents are involved in their lives; children interacting with parents and seeing commonalities among families; encourages early time with child; opportunity to meet positive people; “It highlights the importance of the father-son relationship and empowers my son each time we come.”; makes the dad an active father figure; the homework assignments!
- Suggested Improvements for Next Year:
bring in more educational aspect; involve the principal and outside personalities; less sweet pastries and more nutritional food (some parents have offered to donate toward this effort this year); have it open for mother and father to attend together; Saturday morning outing; coffee
Mrs. Graves’ Notes:
I am already planning on a raffle next year ($5 gift cards, AZ Kelley shirts, etc.). Pencil Partners will be invited. Was thinking about a kickball tournament???
