Emily Graves is the SIT Lead (School Improvement Team Lead) and FES (Family Engagement Specialist) for A.Z. Kelley ES. The Community Room (located near the office at the front of the building) is open Monday- Thursday, and addtional days throughout the week. Hockey
G.N.A.S.H. Bash, ages 10-14 begins August 10th
Do you know a child in 5th thru 8th grade that wants to try hockey for the first time? Then be sure to check out the annual G.N.A.S.H. Bash, a four-week instructional beginner program sponsored by the Greater Nashville Area Scholastic Hockey League and the Nashville Predators Foundation. The program is designed to introduce ice hockey to middle school aged kids that have no hockey or skating experience. This FREEprogram will take place on Wednesdays August 20, 27, September 3, 10 from 6-8pm at Ford Ice Center in Antioch. Loaner equipment/skate rental will be made available to those in need at no cost. Space is limited. Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, the Parent University Program, and the Alignment Nashville Family Engagement Committee are proud to present the 2014 Parent University Conference – Together we can GROW, EMPOWER, and ACHIEVE: Excellence for Every Student!
This year we will offer to families attending:
• Free workshops on a variety of topics.
(Workshops are designed for parents and children. The conference schedule and a complete listing of the workshops offered can be found at www.mnps.org.)
• Transportation to the conference.
(Families will just mention “Parent University” to the MTA bus driver.) Download Nashville MTA System Map (Download Acrobat Reader to view PDF files.)
• Childcare for children 4 years of age to 12 years of age (Pre-registration is required.)
• Health screenings and other health related services
• Community resources
• Interpretation services

Families can register for the conference by going to www.mnps.org and completing the online form, by faxing the form to Parent University at 615-298-8056, or by contacting the Parent University office at 615-298-6752. Note - The online registration form will be available on 7/16/14.
