Thanks to everyone who came to the breakfast this morning. Please visit our site at
http://www.allprodad.com/dd/2857. Also, single moms, granparents, uncles... whoever serves as the male role model for your child- you are welcome to come in the place of dad. My husband seems to be traveling every time my oldest son has a dad event at school, and I have not hesitated to step in and say, "I'm the one filling that role right now!". No child has to feel left out of this event!
Next meeting is Nov. 30th @ 7:15am.
This blog was created for the parents of A.Z. Kelley students to receive the latest SIT Lead (Title I) updates.

Reminder -- What Parents Can Do to
Protect and Support Their Child from Bullying
Tomorrow, October 6, 2011
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ET
Mean, cruel and/or bullying behavior is a problem in many schools in the United States -- in urban, suburban, and rural areas. And, it can also take place outside of school. Unfortunately, children who have learning disabilities (LD) are especially vulnerable to it.
In support of National Bullying Prevention Month this October, guest expert, Jonathan Cohen, Co-Founder and President of The National School Climate Center (NSCC), will discuss:.
• Signs that your child may be bullied (or may be bullying others)
• Steps parents can take if they suspect their child is being targeted
• How parents can work with the school to address the problem
• How to help a child cope with verbal, physical, or emotional insults
Learn more about Jonathan Cohen.
