NCLB Choice/Supplemental Educational Services
What is Public School Choice (PSC)?
Parents of all children enrolled in schools that receive Title 1 funding and that are identified for school improvement are given the opportunity to transfer their children to a school that has not been so identified.
As a parent, you can choose for your child to attend one of the schools listed as CHOICE for your child; or you can choose for your child to remain in their current school and receive SES (Supplemental Educational Services) tutoring.
School Improvement eligible schools:
School Improvement 1
School Improvement 2
Corrective Action
Restructuring and Reconstitution
What is Supplemental Educational Services (SES)?
SES or Supplemental Educational Services is a tutoring service provided by agencies outside the school system approved by the State Department of Education. These companies will provide tutoring to students before or after school, as well as on the weekends in the areas of reading/language arts, and/or math depending on your child’s needs.
