TCAP Testing days begin Wednesday, April 25 - May 2 for Grades 3-8 Parents can help by… O Making sure your child is rested and eats breakfast O Making sure your child arrives to school on time, is relaxed and dressed comfortably (bring a sweater) O Encouraging your child to do the best work possible O Do not send your child to school if illness is apparent O Scheduling all appointments on non-test days O Sending extra tissue to school for the class Encourage your child to… O Read the instructions carefully O Look for direction words that tell what to do, such as ‘calculate’, ‘summarize’ or ‘estimate’ O Read the question first O Read each question carefully O Skip difficult questions until all other questions have been answered. Return to unanswered items if time permits.
