Emily Graves is the SIT Lead (School Improvement Team Lead) and FES (Family Engagement Specialist) for A.Z. Kelley ES. The Community Room (located near the office at the front of the building) is open Monday- Thursday, and addtional days throughout the week. Parent Workshop

“Parents as Partners” – A Parental Involvement Program
Since 2002, Conexión Américas has been helping Latino families realize their aspirations for social and economic advancement by promoting their integration into the Middle Tennessee community. The main goal of our Parents as Partners (PAP) program is to forge a working partnership between Latino parents and schools, and to ultimately improve children’s academic achievement.
The program is:
• a 9-week series of workshops: an informational session, six workshops, a “Dialogue with the Principal” event, culminating in a graduation ceremony
• offered in Spanish
• led by parents trained as facilitators & uses participative methodology
• involves Positive Discipline activities that train parents to be kind but firm & focus on empowering children and helping them develop problem-solving skills
• childcare & refreshments are offered!
